Outside you’ll find a commemorative plaque of his birth and a bench memorizing the 80th anniversary of his death.

Snowdonia has the widest choice of outdoor activities available in the UK.  From Snowdon Lodge you can hike Mt. Snowdon, climb Tremadog Rocks, walk the Snowdon 3 Peaks, or trampoline underground at Bounce Below.  You can zip wire across a Welsh quarry, kite surf at the local beach or explore the rocky coves of the Llyn Peninsula.  The location is ideal for walking, climbing, mountain biking, gorge traversing, white water rafting, canoeing and all manner of exciting outdoor pursuits!

Snowdon Lodge is also in an ideal location for a traditional holiday.  At this self catering accommodation you can enjoy the beach at Black Rock Sands less then two miles away or explore the many coves and beaches.  Snowdonia, the Llyn Peninsula and nearby coastal towns are popular holiday resorts. The famous Portmeirion Italianate village is only 4 miles away and the castles of Caernarfon, Harlech and Criccieth only a short drive.

For those just wanting to see the scenery, one of the many narrow gauge steam railways is a perfect option. The Ffestiniog Railway, the Welsh Highland Railway, and the Welsh Heritage Railway are great days out less than half a mile away.
